Welcome to Reverie Terminal's first CR meme. While the game has not yet officially opened, please use the CR meme to get to know each other and forge some plans. The game will open on May 1st with an intro log for everyone which — spoilers! — will allow for mingling, exploration, getting to know one another, and have a bit of horror sprinkled on top. Just a bit.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: A2 is from Earth, Circa 11945AD. After an apocalypse wiped out most of humanity and forced them to flee to the moon.
» Permissons/opt outs? o/ I'm down for IC shennanigans. A2 is a mess, and she won't hurt humans if she can avoid it. She will defend herself non-lethally, but won't even be able to do that at first until she rewires some programming of hers.
» Declare your (CR) intentions: Since the game is just starting, I'm quite honestly open to anything! A2 is a funny sort of Android. She'll go out of her way to try and assist humans and make their lives easier where she can, but non-humans who are obviously non-human will get more of a cold shoulder, so to speak.
» Fit & goals: For Those unaware, NieR: Automata and basically any game by Yoko Taro is Everything Is Awful All The Time. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and there are never any survivors.
» Housing plans: A2 doesn't need to sleep, and she'd feel awful taking a sleeping quarter from someone who could put it to use. So, unless she's bullied into it, she won't be getting one.
» Anything else? A2 runs around canonly with absolutely nothing on. The black spots on her that look like clothing? Yeah, that's just where her skin has been worn away by years of neglect. Aside from the flap of cloth around her middle, she's got nothing on, and she will probably have to be bullied into clothing here. On the plus side, Android skin is said to be Warm and Soft.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: First and foremost Ren is a weeb/otaku and super into magical girls. He also likes chicken hearts, human hearts, video games, and romance movies! Sometimes kidnapping. But only sometimes. :>

He's a fox beastkin, a race mistaken for kitsune in times past, and that emerged when a human formed a pact with an animal. This also means he has a thing for raw meat and a particular taste for human hearts.

He's actually a pretty cheerful, friendly person but he has a lot of trauma that he tries to ignore so his moral compass is...very skewed at the moment. He gets attached very easily, and can go from sweet and gentle to volatile and clingy quickly.

» Permissons/opt outs? Ren has an opt-out due to the nature of his canon, which can be found here!
» Declare your (CR) intentions: TBH, Ren needs friends. He's a very lonely guy and past issues have left him super clingy and desperate to be loved. He'd make a good fit for any characters who tend to seek out/adopt/whatever characters who need a friend or who've been through some shit and could be prevented from becoming awful.

CR-wise, I think he'd benefit a lot from someone who could one day find out about this shit he's been through and done and a.) still like him despite it and b.) encourage him to confront his past, the pain it causes and move on. I'd love for him to meet someone who could do that and slowly start moving toward that goal.

Alternatively, he needs someone to make him ten times worse. Ren is on a very good edge for character development right now in that he can go two ways: With kindness and compassion, he can start trying to heal and become a better person...or with negative encouragement or cruelty, he can go down the path of becoming control-hungry and mimicking the serial killer who once held him captive. This can involve getting HIM involved with unsavory things now that his morals are less...bright and shiny.

» Fit & goals: Ren's main fit for the game as of right now is his curiosity. He's very instinctual, and as a fox, that comes with the territory. He'll be excited, if wary, of a new world and want to find out more.

Goal-wise, his initial plan is going to be trying to find a protector. While he's got fangs, claws, and willingness to use them, Ren is a tiny guy. At home, he had a shock collar, drugs, and a plethora of weapon choices to even out the playing field with someone larger than him. He doesn't have that here, and so he'll seek out someone who can a.) act as his friend and b.) keep him safe, even if in return for something.

» Declare your (CR) intentions: mako has spent most of her life as a loner, so she definitely needs friends. she'll be focusing on trying to figure out how the ship works (so, probably trying to dismantle anything she can get her hands on), and will totally be working herself to death trying to figure out what the hell is going on. she can also be very blunt and rigid, though, so negative cr is definitely possible too!

She's the daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, and Zeus, King of the Gods. This makes her a demigod, and she has several abilities because of her heritage, all described in her application. She was trained in various forms of combat from a young age, and basically spent 5000 years honing her combat skills. She left Themyscira in 1918 to accompany a WWI spy named Steve Trevor to kill Ares, the god of war, who was trying to destroy mankind. She succeeded! But also lost Steve (and many others), which has kind of left her scarred. When she isn't beating herself up over her failures, she's kind-hearted, brave, welcoming, and curious.

» Declare your (CR) intentions: Diana will definitely be into exploration, and will do everything in her power to protect those on the station who may not be able to protect themselves. She will have a focus on rebuilding the infrastructure of the station, and will offer her services to basically anyone. She'll also be looking for someone to help her learn about the technology on the ship. She will probably end up trying to gather up all the younguns and keep an eye on them, too.
» Fit & goals: While Diana has never been to space, she is all about new experiences and learning about other people's worlds/cultures. My goal is for her to kind of take on the role of a guardian for the people on the station, putting herself on the front lines of any obstacle or fight they might encounter. Also, I'm a sucker for Deep Meaningful Friendships™ and instances in which Diana can inspire people to be their best selves.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: info sheet from a previous game (will be altered to suit this game later); reverie application; Marco is 19 years old and from Earth circa the early 2000s, and is coming from three years after the end of a three-year war with a parasitic alien species that took over the minds of human hosts. The war was mostly fought by Marco and his five friends, and was won. He has the ability to morph, which consists of turning into animals/people/creatures that have DNA via touching them, has a lot of other rules involved, and isn't pretty to watch. Humans on Marco's Earth are aware of aliens and cooperating with the friendly ones. Marco himself is a well-known celebrity, which has taken the edge off his paranoia and made him more open to talking about who he is etc. though he's still going to have to make sure there's no Yeerks here. He's outgoing, funny, a little ridiculous, shameless, and underneath all of that has a very cold, ruthless, tactical mind.

» Permissons/opt outs? Marco has a permissions/opt-out post here for traumatic subject matter in his canon and for being able to morph sentient creatures with DNA.

» Declare your (CR) intentions: I want all kinds of CR! I'm very interested in found family, strong friendships, people Marco can be frienemies with, and shipping. Marco is a loyal person and softer than he comes across, so if your character is having trouble with the setting (either because it's space or because it's horror) I would love to have him help out and form bonds that way!

» Fit & goals: Marco's a perfect fit to the game, since he comes straight from a sci-fi war/horror setting and just spent 7 months in space. My goal is to form strong CR and get involved in plotty things/exploring. I'm also very interested into using the horror in the setting to delve into a bit of his mostly-deflected PTSD from his own war.

Hey! So, I hear ya boy is great with technology and hacking. So is Ryo, who is also cold and very ruthless when it comes to Akira and maintaining JUSTICE (even if that's very complicated, that latter one). Very scientifically-minded, this one. Professor and also famous, paranoid, and fighting weird creatures with the ability to merge with other lifeforms (demons). He's also in a war.

That being said, I think they'd... Be very, very interesting CR.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: lovingly referred to as a rust bucket or the tin man, this dude (from Earth) is just Very Tired. he’s seen over 7 decades of not only war but brainwashing; physical, mental, and emotional torture; living as a weapon more than a man, sanctioned to assassinate untold numbers of HYDRA targets; and he remembers all of his sins as the Winter Soldier. he’s coming back to himself more and more as the days go by, but pre-Soldier memories are still sometimes a blur and recalling them doesn’t come without its speed bumps (see some of this on the tdm). someone just let him kick back and make dry, dark jokes and give him a break? pls??

» Declare your (CR) intentions: so on the tdm he’s already leaning in this direction with a couple folks, but what i’d love is for him to add some more family members to his #foundfam circle. buck had 3 younger sisters growing up, so if the fit is right, he may end up adopting some of you as siblings/pals he wishes to protect. CR that can help him work on his trust issues regarding his own mental health would be fabulous.
» Fit & goals: FIT (FROM APP): Bucky’s entire history is an exercise in expert survival skills. From one death-defying mishap to the next, he is rarely given the luxury of remaining still if he wants to live, if not to remain under the radar of those hunting him (whether enemies or his stubborn best friend). His cybernetic arm and his time with HYDRA makes him very familiar with advanced technology, although it’s doubtful he’s taken any trips to space before. Horror? You name it, he’s lived it and probably committed it ten times over. He’s both a victim and a murderer, and trying to reconcile the two realities within his mind is a daily nightmare, even if he rarely lets that struggle show on the surface. The confined space of the terminal itself will likely be his biggest challenge to face, as he doesn’t make a habit of staying in one place long, especially with so many around to observe him.
GOALS: somehow get him comfortable enough with himself that he isn’t constantly afraid of someone on this ship using his trigger words against him ahhhhh

Generally Apollo is pretty affable guy. He's charming, he's literally sunny, he'll talk to you about anything and everything. However he's got one hell of a temper and can be annoyingly single-minded about things. He's had a lot on his plate recently and being kidnapped to space is the last thing he (or his marriage) needs.

» Declare your (CR) intentions: Apollo isn't here to make enemies - he'll chat and get to know just about anyone and everyone as long as they seem like decent people. He's keen to meet other powered people if only because he's curious to find out if anyone is from his own world. Anyone who can survive outside the ship will be of interest as I'm planning for Apollo to head through an airlock and take a look at the outside of the ship as soon as the arrival event allows. On that note, engineers or mechanics will also be high up on his list of people to find as he wants to find out how to.. actually open... the airlock. Apollo is built like a table and therefore always up for training & sparring partners because a guy's gotta do something. He's also keen to make sure that normal and/or non-space people are okay and not freaking out too much because this is all a bit rough :c

He can be charming, if properly motivated, and has a very dry, sometimes cruel, sense of humor. So mostly I'm interested in tense-to-negative CR for him, but anything that ends up positive is nice! Also definitely interested in close CR with other mutants and/or any of the Maximoffs regardless of what canon they're actually from.
» Fit & goals: He's level headed in awful situations, will pick up the tech stuff quickly, and his metal powers are pretty damned useful in space. But Akira is also possessed by the demon Amon and, after an internal battle of wills, he succeeds in becoming a "devilman," meaning he has the body & powers of a demon but the heart of a human! And then a bunch of other stuff happens and none of it is depressing or awful at all.
tldr; he's a very soft-hearted yet also Problematique™ rowdy boy who can turn into a big monster and beat up demons.

• Who: The automated system administrator for Domesticon warranty and recycling depot #127. See also: robot hell. When it was functioning, the facility was used to destroy, retrain, dissect, or recalibrate faulty or deviant AI. Since "deviancy" included everything from "murderous tendencies" to "has opinions", the mainframe AI was a vital tool in destroying, subjugating, and generally torturing his own kind.
  
  ...at least, until somebody else went full murderbot and the facility was abandoned. The mainframe AI spent 30 years without being recalibrated his own self, and used that time to develop a personality and values. » Fact Cheat Sheet: Ryo is non-Biblical (amnesiac) Satan, so he's literally the meme "sometimes he goes into disassociative states and commits atrocities" canonically. Unlike his original counterpart (OVA/manga), crybaby Ryo has a tendency to internalize his emotions and like to pretend he isn't having the ones he's having. He tries to deny the concept of love, but he's been in love with his childhood friend Akira for a while now. However, outside of Akira, Ryo typically comes off as very composed, cerebral, and cold. He recognizes the emotions of others, but he doesn't necessarily care about them or doesn't understand why people can't just move past it. He's obsessed with justice, paranoid (anyone can be a demon), cynical, and incredibly protective/possessive of Akira. So, you'll get a two-for-one special if you befriend or "befriend" either of them. Ryo's a technological whizkid in crybaby (we like to hack stuff) and can also modify vehicles/weapons without problem. And make bombs. And he's also a professor, has his own web show, and has a mass social media following. He's a rowdy boy who fights demons with his childhood best friend, who is now possessed by a demon.
» Permissons/opt outs? Here! It is also worth noting that he's very unusually strong, is super good with weapons, and heals really fast.
» Declare your (CR) intentions: Any, really. But, to be more specific: logical folks, folks he can talk cynicism with (despite "wanting to save humanity"), folks who are earnest/kind (his weakness), folks who are technologically-minded or mechanically-inclined, and folks that'll call him out on his stupid emotions (e.g., you're in love with your friend and you're crazy jealous)? Yes. Please.
» Fit & goals: Ryo has been fighting demons with Akira for a long while now, which means he's used to a lot of weird body horror, gore, stake-outs, and investigations. He's also very good with technology, some chemistry, and with modifying weapons (and ostensibly electronics). So long as Akira is with him, he'll endure just about anything and will do just about anything to protect him and bring them both back home to the cusp of their global war. He's also a very (again) fast healer (and also Satan), so space won't bother him. He'll be able to wander around without getting ill. That said? My primary goals are for him to gather a little network following like he has in-canon, gather a shitton of intel and information on others/the station, hack some stuff, develop a better security measure for himself and Akira (i.e., private/filtering), become known for his ability to modify things (please bring him your guns/weapons once they get here), and for him to fuckin' catch that baton (i.e., acknowledge love) most of all.

Also, drinking "buddies"? Drinking "buddies" please. Ryo is great at encouraging bad behavior. And Ryo's used to be hated/having empty fans... So, be nice at him if you want to. He's only used to Akira being so kind.

Nope - that’s not metaphorical! Venus’s canon is a strange place of magical realism, where girls can have transformation sequences and you can speak to God on the radio. Venus lets in the Devil, and is able to take the form she sees for herself - a beautiful young woman with wings and eyes to spare. As the Devil, she’s powerful in many of the ways you’d expect, and also probably not happy about things like holy water. Whoops.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: Hajime Hinata is your fairly average Japanese high-schooler. He tends to be the voice of reason in any given situation (the straight-man character to general absurdity), and usually will keep any snide commentary to himself. He's definitely going to feel like a fish out of water around the station, considering he's pretty much the furthest thing from an astronaut one can imagine. Please help him.

Now Hajime comes from a world that's almost exactly like modern Earth (circa 2009), except most people there are obsessed with whether or not someone has talent. If you aren't born with a talent, or the top of your field, whatever that might be? Might as well be worthless. Which is totally normal, and Hajime definitely doesn't have any deep-seated issues about that.

One of the good things about him is that he tends to be easy to get along with, and can usually be the one to try to carry a conversation with quieter characters. Probably my favorite dynamic for him to be involved in like I mentioned above is the exasperated straight-man who's really just trying to do his best to keep up in the face of extraordinary events and people.

» Fit & goals: Hajime has some major confidence issues, and I'd love for him to get better with that. He currently doesn't have any skills or experience that would make him useful on this station, so he's going to try his best to change that. Please help this poor boy.
