Welcome to Reverie Terminal's first CR meme. While the game has not yet officially opened, please use the CR meme to get to know each other and forge some plans. The game will open on May 1st with an intro log for everyone which — spoilers! — will allow for mingling, exploration, getting to know one another, and have a bit of horror sprinkled on top. Just a bit.

» Fact Cheat Sheet: lovingly referred to as a rust bucket or the tin man, this dude (from Earth) is just Very Tired. he’s seen over 7 decades of not only war but brainwashing; physical, mental, and emotional torture; living as a weapon more than a man, sanctioned to assassinate untold numbers of HYDRA targets; and he remembers all of his sins as the Winter Soldier. he’s coming back to himself more and more as the days go by, but pre-Soldier memories are still sometimes a blur and recalling them doesn’t come without its speed bumps (see some of this on the tdm). someone just let him kick back and make dry, dark jokes and give him a break? pls??

» Declare your (CR) intentions: so on the tdm he’s already leaning in this direction with a couple folks, but what i’d love is for him to add some more family members to his #foundfam circle. buck had 3 younger sisters growing up, so if the fit is right, he may end up adopting some of you as siblings/pals he wishes to protect. CR that can help him work on his trust issues regarding his own mental health would be fabulous.
» Fit & goals: FIT (FROM APP): Bucky’s entire history is an exercise in expert survival skills. From one death-defying mishap to the next, he is rarely given the luxury of remaining still if he wants to live, if not to remain under the radar of those hunting him (whether enemies or his stubborn best friend). His cybernetic arm and his time with HYDRA makes him very familiar with advanced technology, although it’s doubtful he’s taken any trips to space before. Horror? You name it, he’s lived it and probably committed it ten times over. He’s both a victim and a murderer, and trying to reconcile the two realities within his mind is a daily nightmare, even if he rarely lets that struggle show on the surface. The confined space of the terminal itself will likely be his biggest challenge to face, as he doesn’t make a habit of staying in one place long, especially with so many around to observe him.
GOALS: somehow get him comfortable enough with himself that he isn’t constantly afraid of someone on this ship using his trigger words against him ahhhhh

Having his own on-going trauma (captive of a sadistic serial killer for 2 years) that turned him also into both a victim and a murderer and he's still trying to recover from, I feel like Ren could relate to Bucky on a serious level.

so throwing The Literal Devil bucky's way might not make for the most expected CR? but venus fits the bill in a lot of ways - kind to a fault, patient, would be an excellent listener, and is arguably sister-worthy aside from. you know, the wings. and the eyes all over those wings.

Hi, this is Jesse Pinkman's every day existence. He also sees himself as nothing worth redeeming and someone who deserves no forgiveness for the things he's done... while also at this utterly broken point of not caring anymore, about anything. Apart from freedom. Also, kids.

I have Jesse's cr meme here if you'd like to take a gander, and I'm just going to copy/paste what I've mentioned elsewhere here to others because I'm lazy: Jesse is more or less an empty shell of a person who has zero interest in death and suffering, but is also pretty ruthless and entirely disinterested in being held prisoner on this creepy ass ship, especially after spending several months as an imprisoned slave in horrendous circumstances back home in New Mexico. He currently is in this strange sort of almost depersonalised state of shock where all he can focus on is, "I'm finally free from those fucks" - but that will shift once his shock kind of calcifies into him being able to process the situation more.

So, while there is a lot Jesse wouldn't be able to relate to with regards to what Bucky has been through, he would 100% be able to relate to being both a severely abused and traumatised victim and a horrendous murdering monster, and not being able to reconcile the two. I'D JUST BE INTERESTED TO SEE WHERE HE AND BUCKY COULD WIND UP, cr-wise... Jesse is a chaotic neutral, anti-villain kinda guy, so his moral compass is pretty shady - but the one thing he absolutely will not stand for is cruelty and suffering, especially when directed at innocent people and kids.

Hello Apollo is fully qualified in Befriending Emotionally Spiky People Prone to Dressing In Black, he has a certificate and everything. It could be quite interesting if they met!!

I think these two could be really interesting in the way that they've both dealt with their fair of trauma, and being forced to do things against their will. Not that either of them would probably talk about that stuff openly.

i badly want ripley and bucket
but i also just apped gamora, too, so... one day maybe they can talk about being both victims and murderers

» Canonpoint: Young Avengers Vol. 2 #6 — shortly after his abduction by faux Patriot (presumed a future Prodigy in disguise) and subsequent disappearance into an in-between layer of spacetime.
» Fact Cheat Sheet: tommy’s a speedster who effortlessly breaks the sound barrier; his speed is so powerful that he can vibrate matter and break it down, whether to cause it to explode or phase through it. IN GAME he won’t be able to explode anything, or phase through doors/walls on the station, so this vibration power is majorly nerfed although not obsolete! like other speedsters, he’s unaffected by g-force which may or may not be helpful in later space exploration. when using his powers, things that progress normally for us in spacetime happen for tommy extremely slowly, which can allow him to either get a leg up on you or save you from impending danger without a scratch! he’s also energetic af and MAY talk/text your ear off if he’s in the right mood.

» Declare your (CR) intentions: tommy is the worst at sharing feelings that he thinks would make him seem vulnerable. I’d LOVE for him to make connections that challenge this reticence.
» Fit & goals: FIT (FROM APP): Tommy makes both an excellent and a terrible candidate for this environment. Let’s start with terrible: he’s often hyper due both to his personality and to his powers, as he thrives on speed and an unimaginably high metabolism. Being cooped up in one space terminal for an indeterminate length of time may drive him a bit bonkers, with no space to run free at least at the outset, and if the fabricator food is rationed, he will be hungry. Aside from that, the excellent: he’s well-versed in surviving horrific realities after his time spent under abusive experimentation, and he’d have a high threshold for what gruesome things may lay in store aboard the ship. Relatedly, this means he’s prepared to use his powers to help the rest of the prisoners in the terminal, and is naturally given to protecting those weaker or less fortunate than himself. He’d be angry and confused over how he managed to be summoned aboard without his knowledge or consent, but when that abates, exploring space with the others would actually be of pique interest to him. His curiosity knows almost no bounds. Think of him like a super-powered golden retriever: present and reporting for all the things.
GOALS: have tommy more closely confront what happened to him in lock-up, and to find more friends to protect from either toxic authority or STRAIGHT UP HORROR here on the ship
