Welcome to Reverie Terminal's first CR meme. While the game has not yet officially opened, please use the CR meme to get to know each other and forge some plans. The game will open on May 1st with an intro log for everyone which — spoilers! — will allow for mingling, exploration, getting to know one another, and have a bit of horror sprinkled on top. Just a bit.

» Name: Ren Hana

» Fact Cheat Sheet: First and foremost Ren is a weeb/otaku and super into magical girls. He also likes chicken hearts, human hearts, video games, and romance movies! Sometimes kidnapping. But only sometimes. :>

He's a fox beastkin, a race mistaken for kitsune in times past, and that emerged when a human formed a pact with an animal. This also means he has a thing for raw meat and a particular taste for human hearts.

He's actually a pretty cheerful, friendly person but he has a lot of trauma that he tries to ignore so his moral compass is...very skewed at the moment. He gets attached very easily, and can go from sweet and gentle to volatile and clingy quickly.

» Permissons/opt outs? Ren has an opt-out due to the nature of his canon, which can be found here!
» Declare your (CR) intentions: TBH, Ren needs friends. He's a very lonely guy and past issues have left him super clingy and desperate to be loved. He'd make a good fit for any characters who tend to seek out/adopt/whatever characters who need a friend or who've been through some shit and could be prevented from becoming awful.

CR-wise, I think he'd benefit a lot from someone who could one day find out about this shit he's been through and done and a.) still like him despite it and b.) encourage him to confront his past, the pain it causes and move on. I'd love for him to meet someone who could do that and slowly start moving toward that goal.

Alternatively, he needs someone to make him ten times worse. Ren is on a very good edge for character development right now in that he can go two ways: With kindness and compassion, he can start trying to heal and become a better person...or with negative encouragement or cruelty, he can go down the path of becoming control-hungry and mimicking the serial killer who once held him captive. This can involve getting HIM involved with unsavory things now that his morals are less...bright and shiny.

» Fit & goals: Ren's main fit for the game as of right now is his curiosity. He's very instinctual, and as a fox, that comes with the territory. He'll be excited, if wary, of a new world and want to find out more.

Goal-wise, his initial plan is going to be trying to find a protector. While he's got fangs, claws, and willingness to use them, Ren is a tiny guy. At home, he had a shock collar, drugs, and a plethora of weapon choices to even out the playing field with someone larger than him. He doesn't have that here, and so he'll seek out someone who can a.) act as his friend and b.) keep him safe, even if in return for something.

» Housing plans: He'd prefer to be alone, but would be willing to share with people he gets along with!

Hiya, I know nothing about this canon or anything but the character sounds really interesting! He and Marco have trauma in common, and Marco would be capable of protecting him (he has the ability to turn into any animal he can get his hands on) and is probably going to be looking for people. We should throw them together and see if something sticks!

I'm probably like the only person in the world who never read Animorphs, but yes!! Ren will absolutely jump at the chance to befriend someone who'd be willing to keep him safe.

(Poor thing is 21 and like...5'1", even he knows he won't be tossing anyone over his shoulders, lmao.)

And he'll find Marco's morphing absolutely fascinating!

Marco doesn't look very intimidating in his own form, he's actually the tiny one in his canon too (when he was 16 he was around 5 feet, now that he's 19 I'm kind and give him 5'3"-5'5") but give him a minute and he'll be a gorilla. Or a wolf. Or a shark, if the terrain calls for it. Or really any other manner of animal. So he's a good protector that way.

Since you don't know Animorphs, Marco's given to making a lot of dumb jokes, acting completely flippant and/or flirting with everything alive, but actually is a very sharp, slightly paranoid, ruthless tactician. He's also one of the more likely Animorphs to get killed refusing to leave someone behind.

Oh hey! I never thought I'd see someone play a BTD character. Ren's one of my favorite characters, and I'm excited to see him around!

I think he and Terezi might be interesting CR. She's very much into the LAW and JUSTICE and DON'T MURDER PEOPLE JESUS CHRIST side of things, so it might get a little rocky depending on how it's approached if/when it ever is? But she's killed people before, and one of her most important relationships is with a person who's done even more screwed up things than her. She's also definitely been through Some Shit herself and is trying to learn how to deal with losing someone.

I'm so game for rocky CR! He's gonna be surrounded by heroic, goody-goody types so maybe they can have a good influence on him.

I think my partner mentioned me before! She plays Venus from We Know the Devil, and I think she tagged your ooc intro. BTD has such a tiny fandom. I really don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere that wasn't Tumblr.

And it really does...I actually hesitated a little before I first decided to play Ren because I feel like BtD is a little extreme to those outside of the fandom, but I've had no complaints from anyone so far!

I one day dream I may get some sort of canonmate even though I know it'll never happen. xD

I forgot to mention but Ren is also pretty good with first-aid! He's used to patching himself up, including stitches, so he'll probably try to play nurse to be of some use.

I think I could help with the negative CR aspect here! 9S doesn't take well to nonhumans, especially the closer they are to acting like humans. I wouldn't say he's necessarily going to be a bad influence, but he'll be rude while also extremely curious. And maybe Ren will even grow on him? It's happened before :> He actually can be pretty sympathetic, it's just getting past his biases.
