it's less a power upgrade and more that they actually define what she can do
s1 portrays her as a medium/intuitive but s2 expands that she's a witch (and her clairvoyance/mediumship is a part of that) and gives a lot more focus to it
(but lbh i bullshit everything bc still so much unexplained)

i feel like if it ignores magic she would show up as just human. everything kind of seems to stem from her being a witch
