Ahoy, Reverie! It's another newbie for you. I'm Dee, brand new to the game though I've been bouncing around DW RP for a bit now, and I'm bringing you Mike Slattery from sci-fi/drama television show The Last Ship.

Mike and his fellow crew of U.S.S. Navy Destroyer Nathan James have spent the past six-seven(ish, what is a specific timeline, canon?) years trying to rebuild the world after a viral pandemic cocked everything up. Seems though, however many fires they put out, there's always somebody else with a molotov.... If you want to know more about him or his canon in general, feel free to click on over to his journal.

hey there! i'm kari, i sent you an add from karijou, and i play venus from an obscure indie VN about being lgbt in the midwest, and also satan is there? i'm completely unfamiliar with the last ship, but from the looks of it mike might come into a little conflict with the whole "anti-authority" thing venus has got going on this ship - and even if he doesn't, i'm excited to see how he works on the terminal!

Well, see, while Mike certainly has no issue with authority in general, he has been known to buck it from time to time too-- it really depends on the authority in question and the circumstances at the time. He'll have to get his lay of the land and see what's up.

Also, thank you! I'm looking forward to getting into things - it's always a bit intimidating, the first posting, but I'll get there.

Let me tell you, it started fairly straight forward - viral plague oh noez, and got progressively more over the top, including but not limited to, a plot to overthrow the United State presidency and a mad scientist who wants to control people via tea. The finale season starts sometime this summer and will apparently feature a cyber attack/emp big enough to send the entire U.S. military back to WWII.
